#1 Synesthesia
Corpus is a place where, for the first time, colors have a scent and a sound. Its version of beauty is multi-faceted, iconoclastic, undoubtedly evil, sometimes ancient, at times sun-kissed and always unexpected. It is not to be found in lotions and creams; but in cars wearing nail polish, in colorful spectrums, in synaesthesia, in the minds of old roman senators and at the heart of revolutions.
#2 Evolution
In this issue of Corpus, beauty is transformed and Kishin Shinoyama deforms it. Hirsutism does not exclude elegance, robots have sex appeal, Mount Athos has a smell of holiness, Serge Lutens splits, Leah Kelly becomes her own silicone caricature and if perfumes embody the spirit of the times, it does not always smell good.
